TRAINING: ONLINE TRAINING
University Technology Services provides online training, to all USC
faculty and staff at no charge, through Element K, our online
training provider.
With online training, you have access to training 24 hours a
day, 7 days a week from anywhere with Internet access.
Training is available in all Microsoft Office applications, as
well as Publisher, FrontPage, HTML, GroupWise, Netscape,
Internet Explorer, Windows, Mac OS and more. For a complete
list of currently available courses, please view the
ElementK Course Catalog.
To successfully connect to Element K, you must:
- Meet USC faculty or staff eligibility requirements
- Abide by the
participation guidelines
- Meet Element K hardware and software requirements; use
an approved browser and system platform from the list below.
- Have Internet access with a 28.8K modem or faster.
- Accept browser cookies.
- Enable JavaScript on your Web browser.
- Set your browser to refresh at every page.
Hardware/Software Minimum Requirements:
Pentium 90-MHz or better, or a Macintosh PowerPC
Screen resolution of 800 x 600 @ 256 colors
Supported System Platforms:
Windows 95, 98, ME, NT 4.0, 2000, XP Home Edition, XP
Professional 2000
Macintosh OS 8.6, 9.1, 9.2, 10.1
Supported Browsers:
America Online 5.0, 6.0, 7.0, 8.0
